Celebrating One Year of The Cotswold Job Board:
A Community-Focused Free Social Media Job Board
In order to help local job seekers connect with local businesses in the Cotswolds, a year ago we launched our free Community Facebook jobs page, The Cotswold Job Board.
When we launched The Cotswold Job Board, our goal was simple: to create a space where local businesses could post job openings, and job seekers could easily find opportunities within their community. Since launch, the job board has gone from strength to strength gaining over 12,000 members in its first 12 months, and has become a thriving hub for the local workforce.
The Value of Community in Recruitment
At The Burford Recruitment Company, our core values are centred on integrity, excellence, and community. We understand that the recruitment process is not just about filling our own positions, it’s about building relationships and contributing to the success of individuals and businesses alike. Our dedication to community goes beyond just recruiting on behalf of our clients; and extends to creating a space where households and local businesses can showcase great opportunities in the area, and engage with job seekers.
The success of The Cotswold Job Board is a testament to the strength of our local network and our commitment to fostering those connections. Over the past year, we’ve seen a wide variety of job postings, with a large proportion focussing on hospitality, and specialised positions within private households. The board has brought people together, facilitating job placements that might not have otherwise happened. This has been a great achievement for us, as it directly aligns with our belief that recruitment is about more than just business—it’s about building lasting relationships within the community.
A Growing Hub for Local Talent
The Cotswold Job Board’s rapid growth to 12,000 members in its first year speaks volumes about its value to the community. Local businesses and job seekers are embracing the page because it’s easy to use, it’s free, and it connects them to opportunities that they might not have access to through other platforms. Job seekers benefit from the visibility of local roles, while businesses can tap into a highly engaged and relevant pool of candidates.
We are proud that the job board has not only been a platform for employment but also a way for local people to collaborate and share knowledge.
Looking to the Future
As we look to the future, we’re excited to continue growing The Cotswold Job Board and expanding its reach. We remain committed to creating more opportunities for businesses and job seekers, and fostering a supportive community.
The success of The Cotswold Job Board is a reminder of how powerful community can be when it’s nurtured and supported. It reflects our dedication to making a positive impact in the local area and helping people build fulfilling careers. Here’s to many more years of success, collaboration, and community growth!
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making this a success. We look forward to seeing what the next year holds for The Cotswold Job Board and to continuing to support our community.
