The Burford Recruitment Company are working with a global SaaS company who are looking to recruit a Software Tester to join their expanding team. Reporting into the Head of Development, you’ll be joining a highly talented team and get the opportunity to develop your testing and QA skills by working on exciting web and mobile based projects. This role would suit someone who has either started their career in software testing and looking for that next challenge, or someone perhaps working in IT/software support who has helped with some level of testing and now wants to focus in that area.

As a Software Tester, you will:

• Provide software testing for company web and mobile products throughout the development lifecycle
• Execute the testing methodically to evaluate software quality against set criteria
• Prioritise daily workload according to predefined criteria
• Report issues in an agreed format
• Conduct error investigations using exploratory testing techniques
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and key issues reported in a timely manner
• Ensure high levels of quality throughout company products to guarantee the best user experience

We are looking for a Software Tester with the following skills:

• Numerate with an attention to detail
• Methodical and logical approach to work
• Self motivated and results orientated
• Organised and efficient
• Ability to work independently when needed as well as part of a team

You will have previously worked in a similar software testing or Software QA role, or come from a technical/software support background and perhaps been involved in some level of testing and want to move into this as a career. A knowledge or experience working in an Agile team using Scrum methodology. As the product is hosted on AWS, a basic understanding of AWS architecture is needed. You’ll get the opportunity to increase your knowledge in software development and test automation whilst learning and working closely with other team members.

You will receive a salary in the range of £25,000 – £27,000 depending on skills and experience, with a benefits package which includes:
