The Burford Recruitment Company are working on a fantastic opportunity for an outstanding private PA / EA to join a vibrant and busy household, covering all aspects of estate management and private affairs. Based in the Oxfordshire Cotswolds, you will lead a wider team, ranging from office staff including Estate Managers/Officers and Accountants to Gardeners and Housekeeping.

This position offers broad scope, autonomy, and teamwork, with the opportunity to define and expand the role. This includes managing a busy and fluid family diary whilst supporting the management of the wider estate and household.

The ideal candidate will be looking for a challenging role within a dynamic, entrepreneurial, high calibre family. You will be a diligent, proactive individual with strong interpersonal skills. Equally, to be successful in this demanding role you will be an adaptable self-starter who is able to continuously think ahead!

Experience working in a similar role for a HNWI / UHNWI is a must.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for correspondence: filtering and summarising messages and requests in order of priority, prompting the family on responses/feedback, and drafting letters/memos
• Extensive travel coordination: booking travel/drivers alongside PA at London Office as required
• Complex diary management for the family, including the scheduling of personal appointments, events, reservations, entertainment, and business meetings
• Responsible for delegating and conveying all instructions/requests to staff and family members
• Oversee the management of household staff and ad hoc contractors on the estate
• Manage all rental arrangements of family holidays homes, lettings on the estate, and private rental properties
• Provide HR support for all staff, including interviewing for household/estate positions
• Organising key events
• Supporting on wider projects for example organisation of maintenance/redecoration projects
• Processing of invoices and expenses
• Management of extensive contacts database including key events/dates for friends and family

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• A minimum of 3 years prior experience supporting a private family (HNWI / UHNWI)
• Highly organised with an ability to prioritise tasks
• Strong interpersonal and engagement skills
• A team player with the ability to lead
• High energy, resilient, and pragmatic; able to thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
• Flexible and adaptable; able to deal with ambiguity and navigate confidently without direction

The working hours are 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Tuesday to Saturday with out-of-hours support as and when required (accommodation available if needed).

Salary & Benefits

£70,000 – £80,000pa
