Live-In Housekeeper Duration: Permanent Hours: Full Time Live-in

- Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum, with some flexibility DOE
- Working Pattern: Thursday to Monday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

A warm and welcoming family with two young children is seeking an experienced and conscientious Live-in Housekeeper for their beautiful country home in Gloucestershire.
This is a permanent position offering an excellent work-life balance, with daytime hours and a fully furnished private cottage on the estate. The successful candidate will be organised, attentive to detail and comfortable working collaboratively as part of a friendly household team.
The Role
Reporting to the Household Chef, you will help ensure the home is beautifully maintained and runs smoothly. Responsibilities will include:
- Daily housekeeping and maintaining excellent standards throughout the home
- Laundry, ironing and the care of clothing and household fabrics
- Basic sewing, garment care and fabric upkeep
- Setting tables, welcoming guests and assisting with service when required
- Supporting the Household Chef with kitchen preparation and cleaning
- Grocery shopping, errands and occasional train station pick-ups and drop-offs
- Travelling with the family to London occasionally
- Assisting with other household duties as required
The Ideal Candidate
- Experienced in private household housekeeping
- Warm, discreet and trustworthy
- Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail
- Collaborative and happy to work alongside other household staff
- Confident with laundry, ironing and the care of fine fabrics
- Comfortable assisting with informal family service and welcoming guests
- Flexible and willing to travel occasionally within the UK
- A confident driver with a full UK driving licence
Accommodation and Salary
- £35,000 – £40,000 gross per annum, with some flexibility for an exceptional candidate
- A private, fully furnished one-bedroom cottage on the property
- Council tax, utilities and associated household bills fully covered
- Suitable for a single person or potentially a couple
- Pets may be considered, although they cannot enter the main house
