The Burford Recruitment Company are working with an extremely well established eCommerce and Digital Marketing agency who are looking to recruit a Junior Developer. They have a history of strong and consistent growth, and are widely trusted throughout the sector as being the market leader. As part of their continued expansion they are looking to add to their technical team.

As a Junior Developer, you will support the TechOps team with a range of responsibilities to meet the demands of the business. You will work closely with stakeholders and senior management to develop a suite of automated reports, as well as be involved in upgrades and the go live of new systems to ensure the smooth running and delivery of technology across the business. You will also deal with the resolution of issues raised by internal users, and continually develop your knowledge.

As an Junior Developer, you will:

• Take raw data from key sources and translate it into actionable insights for the business, supporting project delivery and decision making processes
• Take responsibility for developing reporting, and seek to continuously improve the products and services in which you are involved
• Support presentations to internal stakeholders, providing in depth analysis to support teams in the delivery of their objectives
• Support the Senior Developer as needed, setting up and connecting back end and front end coding
• Test code and deploying projects to live and test server environments
• Implement web service APIs and XML feeds
• Support TechOps in maintaining all 365 applications and user access
• Support Azure access and maintenance
• Maintain and develop internal office hardware and devices
• Record changes and create support documentation for all key changes
• Be the main contact for internal IT support
• Work autonomously by identifying areas of risk and recurring issues, suggesting and implementing improvement plans
• Plan, build and deliver projects by understanding and prioritising areas that are business critical
• Identify and highlight improvements to systems and processes on a continual basis
• Support testing, development, and implementation of new system processes to support business growth and change
• Deliver service incidents and queries within the agreed service levels
• Understand security best practices, and implement policies and processes

You will need:

• A minimum of 2 years experience with PHP, demonstrating expert knowledge and object oriented programming skills
• PHP, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML
• HMTL5, XML/XSL, SOAP, REST, AJAX, CSS3
• Experience developing Magento modules/plugins in PHP
• Front end web development experience
• Experience in version control through Gitlab
• Experience troubleshooting integration issues, and updating website features and security patches
• The ability to create diagrams and matrixes for complex systems and integrations
• Knowledge of web based systems
• Experience with multi-warehouse systems
• Experience working with Magento, Accumatica, HubSpot, or Zendesk is an advantage

This role is hybrid based with 2 days a week based in their office near Burford. On offer is a salary in the region of £25,000 – £30,000, as well as a range of benefits including:
